Jupiter entered Cancer less than two weeks ago after the analytic year in Gemini. Things were happening, but it all felt at a distance. Immediately, we felt the two big guardians at the gate… Saturn and Neptune waiting. One to make things feel real—that what is happening in the news could also be happening to you. A need to protect and create boundaries. And now, with a square to Neptune, it is not at all clear what is happening or how to proceed.
Think of traveling in heavy fog. You can lock yourself indoors and hope it clears soon, keep busy with what is within your control. Or you can go out, but proceed cautiously. Assess what you can see with your own eyes. Turn on the fog lights to see a bit further—knowing that if you turn on the high beams, you will be overwhelmed and be worse off than before.
In some ways, this will continue for the entire year. This is not a year with a clear path to where you need to be and how to get there.
OR
You can use this year to refine your reliance on that Left Hemisphere thinking style. Life seems easier when you are working from an oversimplified map. That is how this hemisphere of the brain gets things done.
Instead, you have the ability to see things quite differently using the other side of your brain—that sees things as wholes and focuses more on connections than seeking the one true path.
The fog of Neptune encourages us to start to rely on our senses and to accept that we can function—and function well—without reliance on clichés or oversimplified explanations from media.
