Smooth Sailing in Virgo

Every month has three flavors, called Decans.  We are currently in the Venus ruled section of Virgo – which is generally a feel-good place. The first decan began the last week or so of August – this is the Mercury ruled part, the “back to school” vibe. What tools do I need? What can I get rid of. Logistics, books, that sort of thing.

The second decan of Virgo started Sept 2 and continues for ten days This is about getting into the swing of things. Think of this like the second week of school, you rearrange your desk, and concerns shift to talking to friends or feeling a part of the scene.   This Venus energy applies to everyone of any age.

By Friday the Sun moves into the Sun’s decan of Virgo again changing the vibe similar to that cool period after the adjustments and changes of a new school year, where you feel things settling down – or for the rest of us – where we start to embrace the new routines and mindsets for our fall goals.

What can you do for the rest of this week, with the Venus Decan to smooth things? What is going right for you? Things are never perfect in Virgo, yet some things are improving as a part of changes you are making.  Venusy things are being more social, more helpful to others, put a bit of effort into meals or making your environment more aesthetic.

An easy Venus win is to put some extra effort into enacting more style in either your appearance or some aspect of your life. Currently, comfort rules in daily fashion, yet throughout most of history, people found value from the effort of how they present themselves to others. It takes effort, so there must be a payoff, right?

Starting September 12th, we get another Decan shift… the hardest part of enacting new habits is over, and we can make a part of who we are.

Remember that all new endeavors follow cycles.

Virgo is about processes and course corrections. The first 10 days of Virgo is about setting up the new course. The second is getting the crew to work together (even if this is parts of yourself that are struggling with the changes) and then, the final 10 days of Virgo, we sail

There will be many course corrections over the year. Always remember the idea of course corrections when the going gets tougher when the Sun moves to Scorpio.  Sept 22, the Sun moves into Libra, we will cover that one in another post.

This shows up in natal charts as well. Those born in late August are more of the classic Virgo, who is always prepared. The early September Virgos are more chill, more concerned about aesthetic aspects of things or working with others to enact optimizations.
